Women's Dialogue on the struggle for gender equality

08 March 2018

08 March, marks the International Women's Day observed by the United Nations to reflect on progress made to uplift women globally and celebrate acts of courage and determination by women who have played an extraordinary role in history. In the 2018 January 8th statement, the ANC committed to ensuring that we achieve comprehensive development of women in all spheres of life to ensure that there is equality.

To mark this important day in the World calendar, the African National Congress and ANC Women's League will host a Women's Dialogue on progress in the struggle for gender equality in South Africa, Africa and the globe, and what needs to be done to keep pressing for progress. The dialogue will also launch the year long celebrations of the centennial year of Mama Albertina Sisulu.

Members of the media are invited to cover the dialogue, which will also be attended by struggle stalwarts of the movement, to be held as follows:

DATE: Thursday, 08 March 2018
