Secretary General to address the launch of Joe Slovo Right To Learn Campaign in the Eastern Cape

The Secretary General of the African National Congress, Comrade Gwede Mantashe, will attend the Joe Slovo Right To Learn Campaign and deliver a memorial lecture in Buffalo City Metro, East London tomorrow, 19 January 2017. The campaign, led by the Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA), a member of the Progressive Youth Alliance (PYA), is aimed at ensuring that students and/or learners are not denied access to education due to lack of funds for fees and registration both at pre-tertiary and tertiary level. 

The launch of the campaign themed "Leaders are made in class room not in Tarvens, Shebeens and Beer Halls" will include school visits and the Joe Slovo memorial lecture.
