Comrade Keith Khoza becomes ANC Head of Communications

The African National Congress (ANC) is pleased to announce the appointment of veteran communications strategist, comrade Keith Khoza as Manager: ANC Communications.
The appointment of comrade Khoza to ANC Chief Albert Luthuli House national headquarters, has been widely welcomed by ANC structures as a boost for the Communications Department politically headed by (National Executive Committee) NEC member and National Spokesperson Jackson Mthembu. Comrade Khoza, who began work today (8 November 2010) fills the post left vacant a year ago by comrade Steyn Speed.
Working alongside the team that comprises national media liaison co-ordinators Brian Sokutu and Ishmael Mnisi; messaging and content co-ordinator Muzi Ndlovu; and publications co-ordinator Donovan Cloete, comrade Khoza’s main task will be that of improving management systems, strategies and ANC communications co-ordination across provinces and with Alliance partners – the SA Communist Party (SACP), Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) and the South African National Civics’ Organisation (SANCO).
A trained journalist, comrade Khoza has served in COSATU communications, advisor to former North West Premier Popo Molefe, advisor to former Gauteng Finance MEC Paul Mashatile, head of communications in the Gauteng Housing Department, head of the Governance Unit in the provincial Department of Economic Development, CEO of Gauteng Economic Development Agency (GEDA) and head of the Gauteng Liquor Board. An activist, comrade Khoza has also served in various structures of the movement, which include the Congress of South African Students (COSAS), South African Youth Congress (SAYCO), the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) and the ANC.
