ANC SG Gwede Mantashe visits Sekhukhune

As part of the African National Congress (ANC) January 8 Statement build-up programme, ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe will tomorrow (5 January 2011) visit Sekhukhune - one of the symbols of resistance against apartheid. The visit will also cover a meeting with traditional leaders, local mine management and Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) affiliated trade union leaders in the area. The programme is as follows:

8am - 10am: Door-to-door in Bothashoek and meeting with ANC volunteers at the Old Tubatse Municipal chambers.
10am - 11.30am: Meeting with traditional leaders at the Tubatse Primary School in Practiseer (Tubatse).
12pm - 1pm: Meeting with Modikwa mine management in Mandagshoek.
1pm -2pm: Lunch at the Modikwa mine.
2pm - 3.30pm: Meeting with leaders of COSATU affiliated unions at the Modikwa mine.
4pm - 6pm: Meeting ANC branch cadres at the Sekhukhune FET college, formerly known as the Dr CN Phathudi College of Education.
