ANC NEC member Fikile Mbalula to deliver keynote address at funeral of ANC activist Wilberforce Kutta

African National Congress NEC Member, Comrade Fikile Mbalula will deliver the keynote address at the funeral service of the late ANC Activist Cde Wilberforce Yenwayo Kutta.

Cde Wilberforce Yenwayo Kutta Yengwayo passed away on 15 April 2018 at his home after suffering a heart attack.

Yengwayo was an outstanding community leader and a exceptional political activist.

As a young leader, comrade Yengweyo managed to organize and link all activities of all SRC’s in township schools and regularly called joint SRC engagements. During this time, Yengwayo was recruited to join (TOSCO) Township Student Congress resulting in Matthew Goniwe Memorial School being the first school, under Cde Yengwayo’s leadership in Khayelitsha to launch TOSCO Branch. This branch has produced many leaders some ended up joining Mkhonto weSizwe (MK).

Cde Yengwayo played a key role in the establishment of Ward Development Forums in Khayelitsha, where he was elected as the Secretary. Yengwayo then moved on to be an ANC Regional Executive Committee Member of the ANC in Dullah Omar. A true activist at heart, he played a role in making sure schools are built, Khayelitsha Regional Court is built and many other developmental projects that he facilitated during his time as the secretary for Khayelitsha Development Forum.
